Firechild - The life and magic of Maxine Sanders 'Witch Queen'
By: Maxine Sanders. Published by: Mandrake of Oxford 2008.
" This is one of the most important books ever published on modern paganism : a full and candid autobiography by one of its most influential, and charismatic figures." - Professor Ronald Hutton.
I have just started to read this book so I will reserve comment until later, however I may be a little bias as I was initiated into one of Alex's covens during the early 70s and I am still a friend of Maxine.
If you have read this book please reply with your comments or if you wish to start dialog on a different publication open a new thread.

Hello again. sorry to be off line for so long. I bought and read Fire child and thought it was quite interesting. Im not sure that I can agree with Ronald Huttons quote, although it was quite and insight to Maxine and Alex's life. Im not sure if Maxine was a Gulable as she has made out in the book. So of the things I considered quite worrying. such as the time she was left to go off with a group with her mothers acceptance at a very young age (15 I think it was and then they left her in the wood alone all night""" I read the book before Maxine came to my camp and I got her to sign it for me. but there were question I would have love to have asked when she did her talk. but I couldn't as they pertained to the book but I felt were too personal to ask
